Bio:

Dr Charith Jayasekara is a Lecturer (Asst. Professor) in Computing Education in the Department of Human Centred Computing, Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, and Deputy Course Director of the Master of Computer Science, Monash Online. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering and has a background spanning computing, engineering, industry and higher education. His research focuses on AI in computing education, agentic and adaptive learning systems, learning analytics, assessment and feedback, quantum computing, and quantum software engineering. His current work investigates how Generative AI and AI agents are reshaping learning and assessment, including AI supported feedback and adaptive learning environments. He is particularly interested in translating emerging technologies into practical and scalable approaches that improve computing education and student learning.
